One Healthy Village at a Time

Faculty and students from the University of California, Davis, and Texas A&M University (TAMU) have partnered to develop the One Healthy Village at a Time, (OHV), project. The mission of the OHV project is to approach health disparities from a human, animal, and environmental perspective. One of the first priorities is to address the challenges of securing safe and healthy food for families.  Beyond that, the team hopes to demonstrate that when you maintain a healthy ecosystem everything living within the ecosystem is healthy.   To accomplish this, the team is using a science-based approach to achieve the goals of sustainability of this effort.   The OHV is designed to be a 3-yr program, strengthened through research, education, and outreach.
