Goal: To describe the background information on general production practices including terminology, housing, life cycles, and biosecurity measures on all pertinent production classes. Objective 1.1: Recognize common terminology for the various
food-animal production/slaughter classes
Objective 1.2: Recognize different housing situations and
biosecurity measures pertaining to specific food-animal production/slaughter classes
Objective 1.3: Recognize stages of life for each production class
Objective 1.4: Recognize key diseases/illnesses associated with different age groups.
Objective 1.5: Recognize classes of drugs used to treat key diseases for each production class
Objective 1.6: Recognize circumstances that may lead to tissue residue violations of drug use
