Course Goal: The goal of this course is to provide basic information on livestock production practices for the primary food-animal production/slaughter classes, an overview of livestock drug safety, and an introduction to the various methods of drug administration in dairy cows.
Terminal Learning Objectives:
TLO 1: Discuss general production practices for U.S. production classes of food animals (dairy, veal, beef, swine and goats).
TLO 2: Discuss the general principles for safe drug use in food animals.
