WIFSS research provides new information and technologies needed for informing food producers/processors, regulators and consumers of potential health risks associated with food and waterborne diseases. WIFSS disseminates this information, which is vital to the enhancement of food safety and water quality through extension efforts, peer reviewed publication, news releases, scientific meetings and by providing information and outreach to federal and state regulators and first responders.
