WIFSS represented RDPC in Hondo, Texas this month. Lead Instructor, Tracey Stevens, delivered both the AWR 328 Animals in Disaster and the MGT 448 Animal, Agriculture and Food Disaster Planning. The course was proudly hosted at the South Texas Regional Training Center and coordinated by Emergency Manager,  Mark Chadwick.
Attendees included Animal Control, Fire, Texas A&M Animal Health Commission, Dept. of Health, Exotic Wildlife Center Veterinarian, County Commissioner, Retired Military Colonel, Emergency Management Leadership and Cattlemen from the Private Sector.
The training included interactive tabletop exercises, planning and expanded conversations about the surge of illegal aliens and the impacts on emergency management in Texas.
